Sweet-Tree Palm Sugar is produced from the sun-kissed sweet juices of tropical coconut palm blossoms. Traditional sugar farmers climb high into the canopy of swaying coconuts and harvest the sweet nectar by gently slicing the flowers. Once collected, the nectar is kettle boiled into a thick caramel and ground to a fine crystal.
Evaporated Palm Nectar has been called the “most sustainable sweetener” by the Food & Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations.
With an average Glycemic Index of 35, SweetTree Palm Sugar is one of the lowest GI sweeteners in the world... even lower than Agave syrup!
